September 27, 2025
On September 27, 2025, my peers and I presented our scientific research projects from our summer camp trip to Montreal. We showcased the Griess method, how to write a research report, a sunscreen experiment, and more. The event also featured a special guest, HOSA Canada team member Jacklyn Saddler, who shared her experiences with scientific research. Around 25 people attended.
I learned a lot from all the presentations overall. From Jacklyn, I learned how effective time management can lead to success. From my fellow students, I learned more about the experiments, how to conduct them, and how to describe and summarize them in a research report that I couldn’t have learned on my own.
The audience gave us feedback on our projects that we could use in the future. I felt it was a good opportunity to interact with parents and other students, and to reflect on how we can continue exploring scientific research and learn problem-solving and communication skills.
