My mom is the secretary of York Region Caring Lions Club. Today was their club’s 2026 Charter Celebration Luncheon which signaled the moment that they officially became part of international lions club.
I joined the events as the second generation of lions. I have seen how much efforts my mom and other lions made to make it happen since she always had evening meetings to discuss the details. I feel that I almost became the expert on the event preparation by hearing what they discussed.
We were the first ones arrived at the event location. There were 14 tables. The participants would be their club lions, district governor, sponsor club lions, visiting club lions, government guests and other guests who support their lions club. They prepared the event program, historical activities summary materials, food, promotional materials from sponsors, prizes, audition items, flags……
From the face and behavior of each lion, you can see how they are kind and how they are firmed to fulfill the commitments. Inspired by those, I distributed the various items on the tables and provided support that I can do.
This is such a different and amazing experience. Having a meaningful life has written to lions’ blood and I will pursue my meaningful life as well.
